Scope

KindofBook (“we”, “us”, or “the operator”) runs a free information and newsletter service about discounted and free Kindle eBooks at de.kindofbook.com, uk.kindofbook.com, and us.kindofbook.com. These terms apply to all visitors of the website, to subscribers of our newsletter, and to authors and publishers who use our author area.

By using our service you accept these terms in their current version. The responsible operator is Josef Pucher, Vienna, Austria (see the imprint in our privacy policy).

Our service

Every day we search the available Kindle eBooks for price promotions and put together a hand-picked selection, which we publish on the website and in our daily newsletter. Using the website and the newsletter is free for readers.

The deals we feature are time-limited. Prices, availability, purchase, and delivery of the eBooks are handled entirely by Amazon or the respective provider — we are neither the seller nor a party to the eBook purchase. We give no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the prices shown; the price displayed at Amazon at the time of purchase always applies.

There is no entitlement to the permanent availability of the service or of individual deals.

Affiliate links / Amazon Associates

We participate in the Amazon Associates programme and possibly other affiliate programmes. Links to eBooks may therefore be affiliate links: if you buy a product after clicking, we may receive a commission. This does not result in any additional cost for you.

Newsletter

The newsletter is free and voluntary. Sign-up uses a double opt-in procedure: after entering your email address you receive a confirmation email whose link you must click before delivery starts.

You can unsubscribe at any time — via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email or by contacting us. You must be at least 16 years old to subscribe to the newsletter.

Author area and bookings

Authors and publishers can tell us about planned price promotions and book paid placements for their eBooks through the author area. Creating an author account and submitting promotions is free and without obligation.

Whether a submitted promotion is included in our selection and newsletter is at our editorial discretion, based on quality criteria. There is no entitlement to free inclusion.

Paid bookings are processed through our payment provider Stripe. Prices and scope are shown transparently in the author area before a booking is completed. Where the requirements are met, invoices are issued under the reverse-charge procedure.

By submitting, you warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the submitted eBook and to any image and text material used, and that the content is free of unlawful, youth-endangering, or third-party-rights-infringing elements.

Liability

The content of our website is created with the greatest possible care. However, we give no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness — in particular regarding price information. We are liable for damages arising from the use or non-use of the information offered only in the event of intent or gross negligence.

Our website contains links to external third-party websites over whose content we have no influence. The respective provider is always responsible for that content. If we become aware of legal violations, we will remove the links concerned without delay.

Copyright

The content and works we create on this website are subject to Austrian copyright law. Reproduction, editing, and distribution beyond the limits of copyright require our written consent. Book covers, blurbs, and product details originate from Amazon or the respective rights holders.

Governing law and changes

Austrian law applies. We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time; the version published at the time of use applies. Should individual provisions be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected.
